Parent Support Advisor

Parent Support Worker

Introduction to our Parent Support Advisor

Louise previously worked as a Pupil Support Worker at a secondary school in Lymington before joining the Abbotswood team as our Parent Support Advisor. Since then, she has helped countless children and families to overcome various difficulties and challenges. Louise offers support in many different ways and is always keen to work with families to find out how she can help them. She feels it is a privilege to work with families in our community and help them through the number of challenges that being a parent brings.

What can Louise help with?

Louise is available to work with parents and families and support them through a number of challenges including:

  • managing challenging behaviour at home. This includes providing support with establishing systems and routines at home and for bedtime.

  • difficulties with attendance. Louise is able to offer advice and suggest strategies to help children who may be finding attending school regularly difficult.

  • providing support with completing applications and referrals; for example, for CAMHS, ADHD and ASC.

  • providing support with parenting courses and sessions; for example, the Triple P Positive Parenting Programme.

  • being a listening ear in times of family crisis and providing guidance on the next steps.

You can contact Louise at this email address: louise.evans@abbsch.co.uk

Don't forget

Every family goes through difficult times. It is always helpful to talk through a crisis and discuss how best to manage the impact that it might have on our children. Louise provides calm and non-judgemental support that can help keep family life running as smoothly as possible.
